MESSICK, Mary Lee, 89, of Brooksville, FL, entered into eternal rest on January 16, 2023, in Brooksville, FL. Mary was born on December 1, 1933, in Webster, FL, to parents Aubrey Ellon Hutto and Estelle (Skipper) Hutto. She graduated from Webster County High School, and retired from the Citrus industry after a dedicated career with Lykes Pasco. She was a lifelong Christian and faithfully served her Lord. Mary loved her free time and getting involved in her hobbies. Her favorite was by far crocheting. She was known to have crocheted many dresses for dolls, however, Mary cherished the quality time spent with her family and two daughters. She is preceded in death by her late husband, James Carl Messick, daughters; Mary Carolyn Harrin and Marilyn Ann McBee, and grandson, Timothy Dees. Mary is survived by her two grandsons; Scott and Jeremy, her great grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Donna Messick-Kaufman. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. A visitation is scheduled at the Mausoleum Chapel at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery for 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023. The service will be at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery in Dade City.
