Saturday, April 23, 2022, Palmarose Mary Catherine Parise-Hughes-Douglas of Zephyrhills, Florida peacefully passed into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born on July 6, 1926, in Pittsburgh, PA to Ralph and Pauline Parise and is preceded in death by her parents as well as her husband, Earl Hughes, Sr.

Together they had 9 children: Earl Jr.(deceased) Ellen; Becky, Dale Vining (deceased); Bob (deceased) Delores; Peggy (deceased) Pat Johnson; Shirley, John Kouma; Jerry, Nancy; Patty, Guy Woolweaver; Mark; Mary Jo, Dennis Poyner.

She was blessed with 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren whom she loved and cherished as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She graduated from Brewster Nursing School in 1960 and was very proud of her 32-year nursing career.Mary was the rock of the Hughes Family, loved beyond measure, and will be greatly missed.

There will be a graveside service on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at 11 am at Chapel Hill Gardens in Dade City, Fl.Arrangements are under the care of Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel Dade City, FL.
