Mary (Heldmann) Hickey, 93, daughter of the late Mary (Noonan) and George Heldmann entered into eternal rest with the Lord on 3/26/2020. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, she resided in the Hartford, CT area most of her life until moving to the Tampa FL area in 2015. Her younger years were dedicated to raising her family who have always remained the center of her life. She was later employed as an executive secretary at First Federal savings retiring in 2001 at age 74. Mary was a devout Catholic and enjoyed many church activities, sewing, knitting, crafts and painting but always, foremost her family.

Mary was predeceased by her daughter, Marylee Hickey in 2018, a brother Joseph Heldmann of Tulsa, OK, and brother in law Harold Dooley. She was also predeceased by her former husband of 46 years, L P Morton Hickey Jr.

Mary is survived by a daughter, Jane E Tyler and her husband, Craig of San Antonio, FL. She also leaves behind 3 adored grandchildren and their spouses, Rebecca and Andrew Caven of Wesley Chapel FL, Michael and Stephanie Fortin of Vernon, CT, and Daniel and Ece Fortin of New Britain, CT and the greatest joys during of her last months, great grandsons Noah Caven and Matthew Fortin. Mary is also survived by her siblings George and Carol Heldmann of Venice, FL, Frances Beckerman of Bloomfield, CT, Joan Dooley of East Hartford, CT, James and Karen Heldmann of Vernon, CT, a sister in law Judy Heldmann of Tulsa OK, a brother in law and sister in law John and Anne Hickey of Malverne NY and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in West Hartford, CT. Due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, there will be no services at this time. A memorial mass and celebration of life will be held at a later date at the ability of the family.
