Mary Beth Ekiss, 61, of Dade City, Florida passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in Dade City, Florida. Mary Beth was born April 15, 1960, in Tampa, Florida to Eurshel Garrett and Beatrice Garret (Fultz). Mary graduated from Plant City High School. Mary Beth and J. Bret Ekiss (USMC Ssgt.) married December 17, 1983, in Lutz, Florida. She had an associate degree in Early Childhood Development. Her last place of employment was Sacred Heart Early Childhood Center. She was a Marine wife and Marine mother. She had resided in Tampa, FL / Dover, FL / Albany, GA / 29 Palms, CA / Dade City, FL. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, spending time with family and her dogs, camping and sitting around the campfire, working on family tree history, and history in general. Mary Beth is survived by her husband: J. Bret Ekiss; children: Jeffrey B. Ekiss, Sara Elizabeth Fisher (Michael Fisher) Grandchildren: Liam Fisher, Jenson Fisher; siblings: Betty Adamo, Larry Garrett (deceased), Ted Garrett, Glenn Garret, she has many nephews, nieces, and cousins and her beloved pets Bailey, Abbie, Annie, & Lily Mary was preceded in death by her father: Eurshel Garrett; mother: Beatrice Garrett (Fultz) grandparents: John Allick Garrett & Susan Elizabeth Garrett ( Smith ), Benjamin Ernest Fultz & Lena Forrest Fultz (Duke), her siblings: Larry Garrett; Pets: Jamie, Becky, Bella, Bolton, & Betsy her closest friend from high school, Sandy Rogers.
