Mary E. Crook, "Betty" 94, of Zephyrhills passed away 9/29/2016 at Heartland of Zephyrhills. She was born in River Rouge, MI on April 2, 1922. She was a lifetime member of the Eastern Star. Her life was the Eastern Star. Some of the offices she held were Assoc. Matron, Conductress and Assoc. Conductress, Adah, Ruth, Martha, Electa and Marshal. She stayed home and took care of her children and also worked 15 years as a lunch room aid for Special Ed Blind Children. Some of her enjoyments included traveling, shopping and cooking. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Irl Crook Sr. and son, Edward Crook. Survivors include children, Marybelle Wilson, Irl (Mary) Crook, Ira Crook, Glen (Diane) Crook, Russ Crook, Brice Crook (Luann); daughter in law, Jean Crook; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Visitation will take place 1-2 PM Friday, October 7th at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 36327 SR 54 Zephyrhills, FL. A service will follow at 2 PM. She will be laid to rest at Park View Memorial Cemetery in Michigan. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, P.O. Box 30772 Tampa, FL 33630.
