OAKLEY CARTER, Mary Elizabeth Edwards, 93 of Spring Hill, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 in Spring Hill. Mary was born in Dothan, AL to Matthew & Anna Lee Edwards, a lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area, a 1938 graduate of Gulf High School, a member of River Hills Church of God, and a homemaker where she spent many hours enjoying crafts and quilting. Preceded in death by her husbands Harold Oakley and Robert Carter. Survived by her daughters Kitty (Wayne) Jones of Blue Ridge, GA, Patti (Hank) Vaughn of Maryville, TN, Lee Anna (Andrew) Paylor of Maryland, One brother William H. Edwards, Grandchildren; Tom Jones, Karen E. Jones, Greg Jones, Patrick Jones, Kevin Jones, Christine Vaughn, Hank Vaughn, Cheryl Vaughn. Great Grandchildren; Whitney, Shannon, Darion, Kristen, Gage, Bailey, Audrey, Joshua, Tiffany, Alex, Demi, Larissa, Great, Great Granddaughter Jocelyn and numerous nieces and nephews. Marys family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at Hodges Family Funeral Home. Entombment will take place at Chapel Hill Gardens.
