Mary Cannon Cabot, 73, of Saint Leo, FL went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Mary was born in Tampa, Florida on October 18, 1949 to Daniel A. and Elizabeth T. Cannon. She was a lifelong resident of the San Antonio/Saint Leo area. Mary attended Saint Anthony School for K-8 and was a member of the class of 1967 from Santa Fe High School in Lakeland, FL. She finished her educational career at Saint Leo College in 1971, where she was a member of Alpha Sigma sorority and the cheerleading squad. Mary married Bob Cabot on May 3, 1975 in Saint Leo, FL and four short years later became a mother to Kristen Colleen Cabot. Mary worked as the dorm mother at Marmion Snyder dorm at Saint Leo College in the 90s. She was the engraver for Kiefer Village Jewels for over 50 years. She was an executive assistant for the law firm of Schrader, Johnson, Auvil, & Brock (later Johnson, Auvil, Brock, & Wilson), and for Saint Leo University Career Planning. She retired in 2017. Mary spent her free time with Bob supporting Saint Leo University Athletics, holding a seat at almost every game that was played and spending time with her family. She was an active member of the San Antonio Garden Club, Saint Anthony Catholic Womens Club, and Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel A. and Elizabeth T. Cannon. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bob Cabot, her daughter Kristen (Ryan) Brady, her grandson Liam, her sisters Margie (Jeff) Hust and Helen (Charlie) Keith, her sister in law, Missy (Steve) Fletcher, her nieces and nephews Danielle Keith, Jason (Kristy) Hust, Mandy (David) Rios, Stephanie Fletcher, Jillian (Matt) Barclay, and Mary Fletcher, as well as a host of friends in her community and beyond. Mary will be honored on Friday, October 20, 2023 with visitation from 2-3pm at Saint Leo Abbey followed by a funeral mass at 3pm. The family will receive friends and family at Bob and Marys home after the funeral mass.
