Obituary

Mary Alice Altman, 87, of Dade City, FL went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 4, 2021. She was born (on March 15, 1933) and raised in Plant City, FL and was a long time resident of Dade City, FL.

Mary Alice was pre-deceased by her husband, Howard A. Altman, Sr.; her parents, Norman (A.N.) Livingston and Nanetta Livingston; her sister, Norma Jean Thomas and her brother, Thomas Earl Livingston. She is survived by her children, Allen Altman (Laura), Betsy Altman-Lewis (John), and Julie Altman; granddaughters, Michelle Grant (John) and Melissa Gulvin (Michael); 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Alice was the Personnel & Purchasing Clerk for the City of Dade City for many years, where she worked side by side with her dear friend, Ruth Philmon. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Dade City since 1960 and enjoyed many trips and singing with the Prime Timers choir. Her passion was being the Chair of the Benevolence Committee which helps people in their time of grief and crisis.

Due to covid restrictions, graveside services at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell will be private.
