Marvin Joseph Scott, 78 of Dade City, Florida passed away peacefully on November 11, 2016 in his home with his beloved wife Clara. Marvin, son of Joseph and Greta Scott, was born in Traverse City, MI on July 19, 1938, and graduated from Haslett High School in 1956. He proudly served his country in the US Navy, and in 1961 married Clara Jury from Haslett. Marvin worked at John Deere for seven years and retired from General Motors in 1996 as a toolmaker.He was preceded in death by his parents, and all three of his brothers Steve (Mary), Paul (Tracy), and Randy (Renee). He is survived by his wife Clara; his sons, Todd (Judy) and Mark (Angela); and several grandchildren.Marvin will be commemorated with a Life Celebration on Tuesday, November 15th, at 1:30pm at Travelers Rest, Citrus Hall, Dade City, Florida. An urn memorial will be held at a later date in Lansing, Michigan.In lieu of flowers, memories of Marvin may be sent by card to Clara Scott, 29129 Johnston Rd, Lot 2523, Dade City, FL 33523.
