Martin Vann Capps Jr. 68, of Ridge Manor, FL passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017. He was born August 19, 1949 in Miami, FL to Martin Vann & Floreine Etherton Capps. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from the US Customs Office in Tampa after 30 years. Martin is survived by his wife of 49 years: Peggy Capps; daughter: Kimberly Ann Capps; sister: Ruth Ann Cone; sister-in-law: Theresa Capps; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 son: Jeffrey Vann Capps; brother: William Henry Capps; infant sister: Carol Jo Capps; father: Martin Vann Capps; and mother: Floreine Capps. Funeral Services will be held 11am Friday, October 27, 2017 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home on Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Visitation
