Obituary

Marsha Ann Hodges (Crowley), of Hot Springs, AR, and Glendale, AZ passed away in Lutz, FL at her daughters home peacefully and surrounded by her children on Thursday, January 19, 2017, after a short battle with cancer, at the age of 68. Marsha, all feisty 4, 8 (and )" of her was a lifelong fan of Days of Our Lives and appreciated the scent of lavender roses and orange blossoms. She loved the outdoors, laying poolside, and snow crab legs. The embodiment of "dynamite comes in small packages," she lived to the fullest, eventually settling into a quiet life of spoiling her beloved dog, Sophie.

Marsha was born to parents James and Bernice Hodges on November 15, 1948, in Rome, NY. She grew up as the youngest of three and attended the first graduating class of Dysart High School in 1966. Marsha was a graduate of Lamson Business College, and a dedicated employee of Embassy Suites Hotel in Hot Springs, AR for 12 years.

Marsha is survived by her three children: son, Arthur D. Howard, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Oceanside, CA; her daughter, Carrie L. Thompson (Sawyer) of Lutz, FL; and her daughter Christina A. Sawyer of Kathleen, FL; her older brothers and their wives James C. Jr. and Celia Hodges of Glendale, AZ; and Robert and Mary Hodges of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Braden Howard; Tyler Thompson; Jacob Thompson; and Hannah Scionti. She is preceded in death by her parents.

A private celebration of Marshas life is to be held at a later date in Glendale, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to LifePath Hospice (a non-profit organization), 3010 Azeele Street, Tampa, FL 33609, (813) 877-2200.
