Mark Magnus Mathisen, 55, of Wesley Chapel, FL passed away on December 21st, 2015.Mark was born April 25, 1960 in Minneapolis, MN to Bruce J. and Lois L. Mathisen. He is survived by his partner of 10+ years Patricia Jones, son David Mathisen, daughter-in-law Jeanie Mathisen, grandson Lucas Mathisen, brothers Michael (Darlene) Mathisen and Robert (Robyn) Mathisen, sisters Cindy Whiting, Beverly (Michael) Cook, Bonnie (Stefan) Bringenberg, and Pam (Jim) DeHart.Mark was raised in Duluth, MN. He attended Oak Grove Lutheran High School in Fargo, ND and graduated in 1978. Mark spent several more years living in Minnesota (with a couple years in between spent in Florida), after which he moved to Pennsylvania. He worked first as a salesman then as a finance manager at a local car dealership there. While in Pennsylvania, he and Patricia met. They eventually moved to Florida, which is where he spent his remaining years. Mark loved to spend time at Disney, go on cruises, and have family visit whenever possible. Mark was always looking for his next great adventure, and he made sure to enjoy each and every day. Mark considered Pattys sons Jeremy (Rheannon) McClintic and Kyle McClintic as his own, along with their children. He was known to the grand kids as pop-pop.Mark was preceded in death by his parents Bruce and Lois, and his biological parents Richard and Sharon Kemmerer.In lieu of a funeral service, a celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 27th at Pebble Creek Community Center in Tampa, FL from 1-4 pm.
