IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mark Anthony
Mason
March 30, 1950 – April 18, 2025
Mark Anthony "Youngblood" Mason, Sr., 75, of Zephyrhills Florida, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 peacefully in his home he has shared with his wife, following a battle with Renal Cell Carcinoma. He was born in Warren, Ohio on March 30, 1950 to the late Jerold Leo & Agnes Veronica (Horvat) Mason and was married on February 15, 1968 to Patricia "Patti" Ann McCloy. She survives.
He drove semi trucks for 52 years and was a business owner for most of his life, enjoying the many people he met while driving across the country. Summers were special to him as each one of his children would take turns riding the country side with him. He always had an entertaining story about each state he had been through. He loved to laugh and kid around and all were welcome to visit: everyone was a friend. He would lend a hand to anyone who needed help with their cars just to have them over to chat.
What he loved most of all was his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and his family. He enjoyed his many life long friends, tinkering with engines, classic cars and his Harley Davidson Motorcycles. His best memories with his Harley was spending August in Sturgis, South Dakota driving the western roads on his bike with his beloved wife.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, son Jerold Shane (Sheri) Mason of Franklin, NC grandson Jerold Shane (Alyssa) Mason II, great-grandchildren Calvin & Nora and granddaughter Natalee Mason, and daughter Carrie-Ann (Mason) Rutkowski of Laingsburg, MI, granddaughters Haylee-Ann & Addison Koc. Mark was also survived by brothers, Philip (Becky) Mason, Jerold "Jerry" Mason and Matt Mason; and sister Tina (Mike) Stepp.
Mark was predeceased by his son Mark Anthony Mason, Jr. (1992) Both his parents Jerold and Agnes Mason, brothers Gene Mason and Christopher Mason, and his nephew Philip Mason Jr.
At his request he will not have any services but for immediate family only. The family will be honoring Mark's wishes to bury his ashes by his late son.
Mark's family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Gulfside Hospice for their care.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests planting a tree, donating to cancer research or Gulfside Hospice in his name.
