Marjorie June Rector (nee Ritchie), 97, of Zephyrhills, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, with family by her side. Marjorie was born September 1, 1927, in Cedar Springs, Michigan. Her childhood was spent outdoors, helping on the family farm and searching for treasure in the sugar maple woods near their house. Marjorie met her husband, Gordon, in high school, and together they raised a family near her parents' farm. When her four children grew older, Marjorie became a teacher aide at the local elementary school. Marjorie carried her love of nature and spirit for exploration through to adulthood, where she and Gordon traveled extensively around the United States, Canada, and Mexico in their RV. Eventually they settled in the Crystal Lake community, where Marjorie played golf, learned how to play pool, and won many rounds of card games. She was an avid walker, and stubborn to the end. She is predeceased by Gordon (2012) and their son Michael Wayne (1968), and is survived by her children Nancy (Scott) Martin, Scott (Jo), Thomas (Paula), and Sandra (Robert) Rieckman, as well as twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Marjorie treasured her family and friendships, and she will live on in the memories of those who she touched dearly.
