MEIER, Mrs. Marion A. 82 of Zephyrhills died Friday, July 15, 2016 at Gulfside Center for Hospice Care in Zephyrhills. Marion was born in Glendale, NY to Harry & Emma (Mertens) Powell and moved this area in 1993 from Staten Island where she worked as a manager for many years and was a member of the Business and Professional Womens Foundation. While living in the Land O Lakes area she served as the president of the Land O Lakes chapter of AARP. She was preceded in death by her son William in 1982, Husband Herman in 2002 and daughter Catherine in 2005. She is survived by her Daughter Lucille (William) Sanchez of Land O Lakes, Son Michael (Maureen) Meier of Dade City, 2 Grandchildren Jessica Sanchez and William H. Sanchez. Marions family will receive friends Wednesday, July 20, 16 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 21 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 32145 St, Joe Rd., Dade City. Marion will be laid to rest with her husband at Florida National Cemetery at 1:30 pm also on Thursday, July 22, 16. Visitation
