Marion A. Dewey 75 of Lacoochee went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012. Born and raised in Lacoochee Mr. Dewey was the son of the late Harry & Daisy Mae Dewey. He was a 37 year employee of Withlacoochee River Electric Co-op Inc; He began his employment on Aug 28, 1963 as a lineman and retired as a Crew Chief of System Operations in 2000. Mr. Dewey was a faithful member of Oakridge Missionary Baptist Church for 42 years and proudly served as a deacon for 37 years. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Daisy Mae Dewey and Sister Erma Jean Brunsdon. Mr. Dewey is survived by his wife Emma Jean Dewey of Lacoochee, Daughter Laura (Clay) Mickler of Dade City, Son Michael (Shannon) Dewey of Lacoochee, Brother Charles of Pensacola. Three Grandchildren Rachel Mickler, Rebecca Mickler and Garrett Dewey. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm this evening (Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012) at the 301 chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home where services will take place at 10:00 am on Wednesday (Sept. 19, 2012) with Pastor Marvin Strickland and Pastor Eldridge Parrish officiating. Mr. Dewey will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Gardens.
