Mario P. Crociata of Honeoye Falls, NY and Zephyrhills, FL: passed away June 23, 2012 at age 92; graduate of St. Bridgets Parochial School and the Aquinas Institute Class of 1939; communicant of St. Bridget, Our Lady of Lourdes, and St. Paul of the Cross parishes; WWII Veteran of the US Army Air Corps with service in North Africa and Italy, and a 34-year data processing technician of the R.T. French Co; an inveterate amateur chef, golfer, bowler, investor, dancer (especially adept at jitterbug), email correspondent, Bills and Rays fan; devoted godfather to most of his nieces and nephews and beloved uncle of all of them. His care for his parents, the late Frank and Lillian Crociata, was inspiring to behold as was his devotion and friendship to several who have gone before him, his brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Jean Crociata, brother-in-law William Farrell, beloved nephew and godson Thomas Farrell, and nephew-by-marriage Jesse Walker. He is remembered with affection and esteem by his sister Mary Farrell of Honeoye Falls, NY and Coral Springs FL, and nieces and nephews Francis (Anna) Crociata of Zephyrhills, FL, Joseph (Susan Brackshaw) Crociata of Washington DC and Cape May, NJ, Mary (Mossi) Agahee of Lomita, CA, Teresa Walker of Coral Springs, FL, Sharon (John) Bednarczyk of Fairport, NY, Bill (Linda) Farrell of Heath Springs, SC, niece-by-marriage Connie Farrell of Roanoke VA and fourteen grand-nieces and nephews and one great-grand niece and great-grand nephew--all of whose accomplishments he avidly followed and applauded on Facebook. Friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 28 from 5-8 PM at the funeral chapel (2305 Monroe Ave.) Funeral Mass on Friday morning, June 29 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 150 Varinna Drive, Brighton. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the Aquinas Institute of Rochester and the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research.
