Maria Grazia Meschino

Maria Grazia Meschino, also known as Zia and Gracie, age 93, of Land OLakes, passed away on December 4, 2023. Born on December 15, 1929, and raised in Termini Imerese, Sicily where she lived for 35 years. She was a bookkeeper for Moka, a privately owned coffee distributor. Maria immigrated to the United States and eventually settled in Lodi, New Jersey 58 years ago. She was an incredible seamstress for high-end fashion companies for many years. Then moved to Land OLakes, Florida in 2005 to be closer to her sister Matilde. She was highly devoted to her faith and loved reading her bible. Maria was extremely family-oriented and treasured spending time with family and friends. Most of Zias life was joyfully spent raising her nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking and sharing her food with everyone. She was an amazing human who was caring, kind, selfless, compassionate, strong, giving and understanding. She had great patience and was a beautiful woman inside and out. The world is a better place to have had Maria in it.
She is predeceased by her parents, Luca and Anna (nee Baldo) Meschino, a young sister and brother Vittoria & Luigi Meschino, a sister Lucia Schillaci and husband Antonino, brother-in-law Nunzio Quagliana, nephews Anthony and Nunzio Quagliana and great-nephews Anthony Gorman, Luca and Anthony Polito and Luca Quagliana. Family dog and faithful companion, Dallas Meschino.
Maria is survived by her loving family, sister, Matilde Quagliana, brother, Luigi Meschino and wife Susan, cherished nieces and nephews, Luca Quagliana & wife Cheryl, Sally Polito, Vinnie Quagliana & wife Lisa, Ann Marie Quagliana, Luca Meschino & wife Lucy, Anna Maria Rahner & husband Vinny, Louis Meschino, Nuccia Baldo & husband Tom, Gus Schillaci, Claudia Polito & husband Joe. Adored great-nieces and great-nephews, Luigi Santo, Giovanni, Ava, Christopher, Sarah, Sami, Lisa, Tommy, Pia, Jenna, Sarah, Joanne, Anthony, Lori, Gwyneth, Anthony, Jonathan, Michael and 21 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Loved dearly by many friends. Giving Maria unconditional love, loyalty, and companionship for the last 5 years, the family dog Ford Meschino.
To honor Marias last wishes, she requested no services. As a remembrance of Maria, continue living life the way she would. Be good to people. You will be remembered more for your kindness than any level of success.
