It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Maria Delgado Hale at the age of 66. Maria passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024, in Brandon, Florida, surrounded by her loving family.

Life Overview:

Maria was born on May 24, 1958, in Humacao, Puerto Rico, to her proud parents, Luis Ernesto Delgado Cintron and Carmen Ortiz-Lebron. In her early years, she attended the University of Puerto Rico where she became a published author, she continued her education at Art Institute of Tampa where she amplified her Fashion Design skills as a seamstress, later earning an associate degree in Seminary. Her lifelong dedication to both her faith and community was reflected in her work as a seamstress and an educator for Spanish-speaking elementary students. Maria was also a devoted volunteer for Jesus Christ, ministering to others with love and compassion.

She was married to Thomas Hale on October 29, 1993, and together they built a life centered on their faith and family. Maria was known for her incredible heart for Jesus, her love of family, and her gifts in sewing. She cherished her time serving others in ministry, embodying the virtues of a Proverbs 31 woman in every aspect of her life.

Family and Loved Ones:

Maria is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Hale, and her loving children, Amadis Rodriguez, Ariel Lopez, Jorge Lopez, Amy Rodriguez, and Adrian Lopez. She was also the proud grandmother to 16 grandchildren: nine girls and seven boys. Her sisters, Evelyn Delgado Ortiz(deceased), Iris Finks, Mariluz Arce, and Naika Delgado Alverio, and her brother, Luis Delgado Alverio, will also hold her memory close to their hearts.

A service celebrating Maria's life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Hodges Funeral Home in Dade City, located at 11441 US Hwy 301, Dade City, FL 33525.
