Margaret Oliver, 84, left this earth and went straight into the arms of Jesus on Sunday January 20th, 2019 at 8:37pm at her home surrounded by her family and friends. She was born on February 3, 1934 to Estus and Laverne Hobbs in Colquitt, GA. She came to Dade City in 1944 at the age of 10. Here she met the love of her life, Lamar Oliver, and they were married July 17, 1950. God gave them two children, Kathy and David. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years in 2006. Also, she was preceded in death by her father, mother, two brothers, Edward (Buddy) Hobbs, and M.D. Hobbs and great grandson Gage Michael Daniels. She is survived by her brother, Earl (Faye) Hobbs of Richland, Fl., son, David Oliver of Richland, Fl., daughter, Kathy Haltom of Jesup, GA, four grandchildren, Julie (Mike) Daniels of Cartersville, GA, Stacey Oliver of Richland, Fl., Leanne (Kevin) Leonard of Jesup, GA, Shawn (Julie) Oliver of Royce City, TX, and seven great-grandchildren; Raven, River, and Raine Daniels, Katherine Whyte; Jaxon and Roni Grace Leonard; and Logan Oliver. She also is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sweet friends. She was a charter member of Family of God Baptist Church in Zephyrhills, Fl. She also was a member of Richland Baptist Church where she and her husband worked and served faithfully for more than 50 years.Margarets life was a true testament of her faith in God. She knew no stranger. The life this beautiful lady lived was a testimony to others that knew her. Her strength, character, integrity, love, and how she cared for others was a beautiful example for her children and grandchildren to follow. Her love for God and unwavering faith was instilled in each of them. She was loved by so many. One of the greatest compliments to be said was "she loved". Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home on Hwy. 301 in Dade City, Fl. on Friday January 25, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The service will be held on Saturday January 26, 2019 at 3:00pm at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Richland Baptist Church Cemetery.
