Margaret Ann "Peggy" (Warinner) Morant passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 21, 2026. Born and raised in Miami, FL to James Lewis and Virginia Lillian (Morgan) Warinner. Peggy graduated from Miami Senior High School and attended the University of Florida where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dade City, FL for 54 years. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Morant III (d. 2019).
Peggy is survived by her son and daughter, Lewis "Chuck" (Corinne) Morant and Virginia "Ginny" (Bruce) Gude ; four grandchildren Letitia Morant, Jeremy (Vanessa) Gude, Jared (Chrissy) Gude, Vanessa (Michael) Cutting; 12 great-grandchildren, Jalisa Morant, Michael DeVoe, Gage (Blake) Bergeron, Austin Gude, Matthew Gude, Emily Gude, Emma Cutting, Emmett Cutting, Aletheia Gude, Titus Gude, Gabriel Gude, Haven Gude and Tristan Gude. She was predeceased in death by her eldest granddaughter Erica Bergeron (d. 2023).
Visitation and Services will be held on February 2, 2026 at the First United Methodist Church, Dade City, FL. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with services to follow at 11:00am. Internment will be at 9:00am on February 3, 2026 at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
Pallbearers will be Greg Gude, Jared Gude, Gage Bergeron, Austin Gude, Matthew Gude, and Emmett Cutting.
The family requests that donations be made to Wreaths Across America in lieu of flowers.
