Lona Lucille Greek, 91, of Seffner, went to be with the Lord on June 26, 2024.
Lucille was born on June 22, 1933, to parents Jack Greek and Lona Linton in Cross City, FL.
In 1951, Lucille met Coy Slater in Dade City, FL. They married in October of that same year and went on to have 4 children, Karen, Darrell, Debbie, and Vickie.
Lucille was a beautiful woman known for her beautiful auburn red hair, her husband's nickname for her was "Red", she was a little hot-headed to go along with it.
She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and person. She was sensitive and very sentimental. She loved being a housewife taking care of her home, she was a great cook who could go in the kitchen and throw together anything and make it taste good. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with her family and reading. Her favorite pet was Bella.
She is survived by two sisters-in-law Joan and Wanda, children Karen, Darrell and his wife Diane, Debbie, and Vickie and her husband Steve, nephew Bobby, grandchildren Dena, Darrell, Trinity, Dwayne, Michael, Michelle, and Stevie, great-grandchildren Derrick, Taylor, Chandler, Serenity, Liberty, and Felicity, and great-great-granddaughters Falenn and Lainey.
Many thanks to hospice who assisted us in taking care of her at home until the end. Special thanks to her nurse aide, Nyema, who was always very compassionate, loving, and cheerful to her.
