Lucille "Lucy" Abel McKinney Beeson, 100, slipped away into the good night on December 1, 2020 at Sturgill Hospice House in Brooksville, Florida. Lucille was born September 23, 1920 in Pikeville, Tennessee where she grew up in the Sequatchie Valley. Her father, Lambert Abel, was a sharecropper who moved his family to Florida in 1937. Lucy had recently celebrated her 100th birthday in Dade City with family and friends. She loved her family and was "Mom" and "Gramma" to so many.

Lucille is survived by her children, Tom (Jan) McKinney of Palm Coast, FL; Pat (Phil) Jordan of Vero Beach FL; Mike (Maggie) McKinney of Youngstown, FL; and Frank (Cara) McKinney of Blairsville, GA. Her nephews and nieces include Richard Redding of California and Judy Harrington of Brandon FL. Her grandchildren include Frank McKinney of Seattle WA; Sean McKinney of Roanoke,VA; Jason McKinney of Oviedo, FL; Darlene Peterson of Clermont, FL; Pamela Beatty of Palm Bay, FL; Maurice Ramsey of Kent, WA; Brett McKinney of Dade City, FL; Sasha Fox of San Jose, CA and the late Vicki Lynn Potter. She also has ten great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Lucille is preceded in death by her husbands, Henry McKinney and Lawrence Beeson, her siblings Pauline, Gordon, Howard "Buddy", Willie Mae, Dean, Dion, and Lorene, and her parents Lambert and Maggie Abel. Lucille will be interred in a private ceremony beside her late husband Henry McKinney at the Dade City Cemetery.
