King, Louis Allen 85, of Trilby, FL passed away Thursday, December 19, 2024, in Zephyrhills, FL. He was born January 28, 1939, in Zephyrhills to Edwin & Stella King and was a US Army Veteran. He retired from the Florida State Department of Corrections after many years of service and was an active member of the Spring Lake United Methodist Church.

He was initiated into the fraternity on October 5, 1978 and was raised to the sublime degree of master mason December 21, 1978. He served 45 years, 11 months, and 28 days as a mason at Trilby Masonic Lodge, F&AM, No. 141. He served many positions and on many committees at his local lodge; and rose in the ranks serving as District Deputy Grand Master in 1990. He was elected Junior Grand Warden in 1997, Senior Grand Warden in 1998, Deputy Grand Master in 1999, and Grand Master in 2000. He served in the alliant bodies of DeMolay, Zendah Grotto, Zara Grotto, Scottish Rite at the Valley of Tampa, Egypt Shrine, York Rite Chapter, Commandery, and Council of Plant City.

Louie is survived by 2 sons: Marty A. King, Ernie A. King; 9 grandchildren: Wes, Ty, Matthew, Dalton, Louis, Justice, Zara, Kayla, Haley; 12 great grandchildren: Gia, Eli, Tanner, Addisyn, Morgan, Peyton, Destiny, Paul, Grayson, Kroix, Jazlyn, Ruby; 3 siblings: Richard King, Jeanette Crawford, Ruth Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Alice B. King; 1 son Paul King; and 3 siblings: Kenny King, Edwin King, and Norma Emory.

Funeral Services Celebrating his Life will be held 1pm, Saturday, January 25, 2025 at the Spring Lake Methodist Church (4191 Spring Lake Hwy, Brooksville, FL 34601).

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in his memory to the Scottish Rite Foundation to go towards the Children's Clinics or the Shriners.
