Jackman, Lorriane A., 81, of Dade City, FL, passed away September 20, 2012, from pancreatic cancer. Diagnosed four months prior, Lorraine bravely declined treatment and filled her remaining days with family, friends, adventures and activities, which she did with incredible zest and humor. Lorraine was loving and generous with a strong commitment to social justice. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Charles Jackman III of Dade City; her three children, Charles Jackman IV of Huntsville, AL; Lynne Webb of Land OLakes; and Kristine Johnson of Dade City; eight grandchildren, Lisa Webb Hathaway, Kristine (Kasey) Webb OLeary, Keri Webb, Thomas Johnson, Tyler Webb, Charles (CJ ) William Jackman V, Erica Jackman, and Helen Johnson; and three great grandchildren, Conor OLeary, Jackman Blade Hathaway, and Natalie Johnson. She is also survived by her sister Constance Carignan of Lowell, MA, and sister-in-law Mary Pincence of Dracut, MA. Born in York, Maine, of Catholic faith, Lorraine came to Dade City in 1976 and worked at the Pasco County Courthouse while attending evening classes and earning a Bachelors Degree from USF. She was an Analyst with the Department of Revenue when she retired in 1995. Upon retirement, Lorraine made lasting friendships and derived incredible joy from country line dancing and card-making. In accordance with her wishes, Lorraines remains will be cremated. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lorraines life on Saturday, September 29th from 34 p.m. in the dining/activity center at Heritage Park Health and Rehabilitation Center, where Lorraines husband Charles resides, 37135 Coleman Ave., Dade City, FL 33525.
