BOYETT, Lloyd "Dwight", 79, of Dade City, passed away on June 1, 2021 at the Rucki Hospice Care Center in Zephyrhills, FL. He was born on December 2, 1941, in Lacoochee, FL to parents Floyd Boyett & Ruby (Peacock) Boyett. Dwight worked for Pasco County as a Heavy Equipment Operator for over 20 years. Although he could operate nearly any piece of equipment imaginable, he was most passionate about operating a dragline. After retiring in 1992, Dwight liked to keep busy and went on to work in the mining industry. In his free time, Dwight loved watching Seminole and UCF football, eating ice cream or boiled peanuts, and listening to country music. One of his favorite hobbies was ancestry research - his daughters fondly remember visiting numerous Florida cemeteries and records offices with him to learn more about their family tree. He also enjoyed attending Trilacoochee Church of Christ, where he was a member for many years. Along with his parents, Dwight was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Lou Boyett.Survivors include three daughters: Tammy Wooten (Randy) of Ridge Manor, FL, Stephanie Boyett (Scott Allen) of Dade City, FL, Angela Boyett of Dade City, FL; one son, Kevin Boyett of Oklahoma; five grandchildren: Rebecca Norris (Eric) of Ridge Manor, FL, Miranda Burt (Joshua) of Trilby, FL, Olen Allen of Ridge Manor, FL, Dylan Boyett of Ozark, AL, and Ethan Green of Dade City, FL; one great-grandchild, Elijah Burt of Trilby, FL; one brother, Curtis Boyett (Carolyn) of Blanton, FL; two sisters: Linda Brown of Dade City, FL, and Gloria Keith (Alfred) of Dade City, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many other friends and loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 12pm at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel in Dade City, FL. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11am to 12pm.
