Obituary

Lisa Lee Paige passed away on July 11th, 2024, at the age of 62, after a long battle with cancer. She was stronger than she ever gave herself credit for and fearlessly faced four different types of cancer over a twenty-two-year period.

She was born on December 29th, 1961, in Hialeah Fl to Josephine Nelson and William "Bill" Nelson. Her older sister Valerie remembers her as a loving baby sister but was mischievous and feisty also, giving the nuns a run for their money during her first-grade year in catholic school. Always fun and adventurous, her soulful laugh was infectious. Willing to help anyone, she had a pure heart and was an animal lover.

To her daughter Nikki, she was a wonderful mother and a selfless woman who put others before herself, even to the end. A Treasured childhood memory is of the two of them coloring together. She was a doting grandmother to Nikki's two children, Tessa, age 10, and Kameron, age 17, spoiling them at every opportunity.

Tessa enjoyed shopping with her grandma because she always bought her favorite snacks. A memorable time for Tessa was when she went on a weekend getaway with her grandma, brother Kameron, and other family members. Grandma helped her put on her floaties so they could swim around the pool together. They promised always to be best friends, and as Tessa grows and goes through life, she will meet many new friends, but she says when she is old and grey and looks back on her life, her grandma will still be the best friend she ever had.

Her oldest daughter, Mandi, fondly recalls lazy Sundays at her mother's apartment in Zephyrhills, when they would watch movies and eat good food. Though their taste in film was vastly different, they met in the middle. Lisa loved an excellent lifetime movie.

Her radiant smile, laugh, and silly sense of humor will be greatly missed by her daughters Mandi and Nikki, her grandchildren Tessa and Kameron, and her older sister Valerie. She also leaves behind her dear dog, Reese.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Josephine, her father, Bill, and her beloved dog Pepper.
