Linda Alice Pead, 74 of San Antonio, Florida died peacefully at her home on June 28, 2026. The daughter of Stuart and Marjorie (Stockwell) Pead, she was born in North Adams, MA on July 13, 1951. She was a 1969 graduate of Drury High School and a 1973 graduate from Westfield State College now Westfield State University.
Linda worked as a Production Planner at the LEGO Group in Enfield, CT for 22 years after which she moved to Oak Island, NC. An avid golfer, she was a member of the Oak Island Golf Club and became a Certified Golf Teaching Professional. Linda continued following her passion at the Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club in San Antonio where she was also a member of the Ladies’ Duplicate Bridge club. She retired in 2013 from Saint Leo University in San Antonio where she excelled as an Event Planner.
Linda was an active communicant and member of the choir at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Dade City, FL.
Linda leaves behind her loving partner and caregiver, Susan E. Sullivan of San Antonio, FL, sister Carol P. Bright (Scott), nephew Joseph S. Bright (Amy) and their children Kent and Claire of Greensboro, NC. She was predeceased by her parents, Stu and Midge. She also has a brother, Ernest F. Pead who resides in upstate New York.
Susan and Carol wish to thank Linda’s many friends and neighbors who assisted with her care and offered prayers over the past several months, especially Judy Wetherington and Jackie Ringley, as well as CNA Linda of Gulfside Hospice.
A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held at St. Mary’s in Dade City on Saturday October 3rd at 11:00 am, followed by a reception in the parish hall. A memorial service and burial will be planned at a later date at Southview Cemetery in North Adams. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory can be made to St. Mary’s Music Ministry, 37623 Magnolia Ave, Dade City, FL 33523 or to First Tee of Tampa Bay, 7910 N. 30th Street, Tampa, FL 33610.
