Linda Diane "Nana" Pastrana
Passed away on October 4th, 2021 surrounded by her family. She was born on November 9th, 1950 to Virginia and Rodney McPherson in Binghamton, NY. Her siblings were Judith, Susan, and Mack, who have all sadly passed away in previous years.
In New York, Linda attended Fashion Design School. There, she perfected her talent for sewing. Sewing was more than a hobby to Lindait was one of the ways she showed her love to others, whether that was making an intricate quilt or sewing on a vest button.
In her later years, Linda found herself living in Tampa, FL. There with her two daughters in toe, she opened her own in-home daycare. Her daycare was more than a place where kids spent time while their parents worked. It was a second home to many of those who found their way into her life. Those bonds carried on for decades, through multiple generations.
Linda is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly Lynn Thomas and Sarah Lynn Chesnut. Linda, whose true calling was the role of Nana, was also blessed with many grandchildren.
Sarahs children are Jaxon Waldo Chesnut, Penelope Jayne Chesnut, Nathaniel Dean Chesnut, and Eleanor Gracelyn Chesnut. Kimberlys children are Nicole Amber Witt, Zachary White, Christopher Gage Ward, Cason Lynn Evans, and Morgan Lynn Evans. These were not the only children who found themselves calling Linda "Mom" or "Nana"; the list is never-ending of those who found their way into her heart.
Linda will forever be missed
and those who know her best know she would not want us to feel sorrow, but to smile in remembrance of how she touched lives and loved fiercely.
