Linda Carroll Hines, 56, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Hospital, just two days after celebrating her birthday.

Born on May 4, 1969, in York, New York, Linda was the beloved daughter of Joe Lee Creech and Mavis Inez Creech. She spent her early growing up alongside her sister, Tracie Groover, and forming a lifelong bond with her best friend, Donna Ann Ray.

Linda made her home in Lakeland, Florida, at 3215 Crystal Hills Drive, where she raised her family. She is survived by her loving children, Shanna Henderson and Shannon Proctor, and was a proud and cherished grandmother to Bailey Brush, Brooklyn Proctor, Logan Proctor, Levi Henderson, Peyten Proctor, Aaron Proctor, Greysen Proctor, Leighton Proctor, Jameson Proctor, Joseph Proctor, Misael Barrera, Carmella Williams, and Sylvia Williams. She is also survived by her sister Tracie Groover; nieces Rachel Groover and Ashley Reynolds; nephews Raymond Groover and Keslsey Groover; and her best friend, Donna Ann Ray.

Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. A memorial service to honor Linda's life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Hodges Family Funeral Home. She will be deeply missed, always remembered, and forever loved.
