Linda Rowell Cone, 78, of Dade City, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in Dade City under the care of HPH Hospice. She was born July 23, 1936 in Ocala, FL to William Archie and Florence Adams Rowell and was a longtime area resident. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sgt. Ferdinand James Cone, both her parents, her brother, William Archie, and an infant son, William Russell, who died at birth. Linda is survived by three daughters, Deborah (Dr. Scott) McFarland, of Palm Beach Gardens, Wendy (Wayne) Flattley of Dade City, and Melynda Cone Rydbom also of Palm Beach Gardens. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Christian McFarland, (22yrs), Kati McFarland (21) yrs, Jackson McFarland (9 yrs), James Flattley, 20 yrs, PFC John Flattley (19yrs), Andreu Rydbom (13yrs) and Deborah Rydbom (11 yrs). Services will be held 12pm Friday March 6, 2015 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests live plants, or those that wish to honor Linda's memory may plant a tree in her honor.
