Lillian Raposa Merrill, age 96, of San Antonio, Florida, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026, in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Lillian was born on April 23, 1930, in Providence, Rhode Island, to the late Charles Raposa and Mary Rebecca Raposa. She moved to Florida from Cranston, Rhode Island, in 1990, making San Antonio her home. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Lillian will be remembered for her happy spirit, warm smile, and generous heart. She found joy in life's simple pleasures, especially playing games, bingo, and cards. She also loved going on cruises, creating wonderful memories along the way.

Lillian was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Manuel Merrill.

She is survived by her daughter, Janis (Merrill) Holmes of San Antonio, Florida; her son, M. Robert Merrill of Warwick, Rhode Island; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Lillian's memory will live on through the love, laughter, and cherished moments she shared with her family and friends.

A funeral mass with take place on Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dade City, Florida. Lillian will then be laid to rest with her late husband, Manuel Merrill at Sunset Memory Gardens in Thonotosassa, Florida.
