It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Leonardo Israel Rico Del Villar, who left us on July 4, 2024, at the tender age of 3. Leonardo was born on May 11, 2021, in Tampa, Florida, and resided with his loving family in Dade City, Florida. Leonardo was the cherished son of Israel Rico Orozco and Arlette Del Villar Montaez. He was a beloved brother to Kamilah Rico-Del Villar. Leonardo's bright spirit and joyful laughter brought immense happiness to all who knew him. Leonardo is survived by his devoted parents, Israel and Arlette, and his dear sister, Kamilah. He also leaves behind his paternal grandparents, Alejandro Rico Arteaga and Ma de Lourdes Bernarda Orozco Lopez, and his maternal grandparents, Jesus David Zamarripa Arreaga and Isabel Montaez Martinez. Leonardo's memory will forever be treasured by his extended family and friends. A Catholic Mass in honor of Leonardo's life will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM at St. Rita Catholic Church. Following the Mass, Leonardo will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Gardens & Floral Memory Gardens. The services are being managed by Hodges Family Funeral Home. In honor of Leonardo's life, we invite everyone to please join the family in wearing white to the Mass. Though his time with us was brief, Leonardo's impact was immense. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his innocent soul rest in eternal peace.
