Cappuccilli, Leonard D., 92, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020. Leonard immigrated to this country in 1931 from Italy at the age of 4 years and resided in New York until 1974 when he moved his family to Florida. An avid baseball fan, he idolized Joe DiMaggio and supported his Yankees before becoming a Rays fan. Leonard worked at the Port of Tampa where he retired from the food import business in 1989. He enjoyed his retirement years traveling with his wife, working in his yard, and being a proud "Papa" to his grandchildren. Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary; 4 children, Lenore Mumaw and husband Steve, Joseph Cappuccilli and wife Dondi, Daniel Cappuccilli and wife Sandra, and Lisa Hubbell and husband Robert; 10 grandchildren, Brandon, Corey, Dana, Crista, Vincent, Joseph, Logan, Braden, Brittany, and Jarrod; and 2 great grandchildren, Nolan and Colton. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Filomena, and a sister, Angelina Colace. A Funeral Mass followed by a reception will be conducted on Tuesday, February 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 2348 Collier Parkway, Land O Lakes, Florida 34639. Burial services will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Garden 11441 HWY 301 Dade City, Florida.
