Leo Dwayne Bradshaw, 77, of Dade City, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026. He was the loving husband of Carol (Litchfield) Bradshaw.
Born in Dade City, son of the late Thomas and Lucille (Cox) Bradshaw, he lived in Dade City his entire life. After graduating from Pasco High School in 1966, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged in 1970. Learning from his dad, he loved machines and became a gifted machinist by trade.
Leo was a kind, gentle man, always willing to help others, especially his family, friends and neighbors. He was always generous with his time. Being incredibly talented, he could build or repair just about anything. He loved, cared for, and was proud of his family property on which he lived his entire life. When not mowing many acres, cleaning up fallen trees, caring for cows, he was meticulously checking to see whatever else needed his expertise. He was a skilled hunter but loved all animals and even fed the squirrels every morning.
Leo was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his wife of 56 years, he is survived by his grandson, Shaun O’Hara of Dade City and his son-in-law Timothy Thatcher of Dade City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews including Michael Bradshaw, Deborah Muga, Jackie Stairs, Wesley Bradshaw, Carol Swart and Melissa Adams. He was father of the late Jennifer Bradshaw Thatcher.
Leo’s visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 2:00PM to 3:00 PM at Hodges Family Funeral Home, Dade City, 11441 US Highway 301, followed by a service at 3:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Tunnels to Towers in honor of Leo’s military service.
