BUCHANAN, Lenzy Garfield, 81, of Zephyrhills, FL passed away on March 24, 2018 in Plant City, FL, just one day shy of his 82nd birthday. Lenzy was born on March 25, 1936 in Praise, KY to parents Emory Buchanan & Alta (McClellan) Buchanan. He later lived in Coeburn, VA before moving to Florida. Lenzy graduated from high school in 1954, and proudly served his country as a Marine from 1954 to 1956. Later in his life, he worked as an electrician in the real estate industry. Lenzy was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Floyd Buchanan; one sister, Linda Susulski; and one daughter, Yolanda Buchanan. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shelby (Addington) Buchanan; four sisters: Minda Atha, Maxie Marshall (Doug), Tina Graves, and Brenda Weissews; a special nephew, Jeffrey Russell; and several additional nephews, nieces, and cousins. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 10am to 12pm at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City, FL. A funeral service will begin at 12pm.
