Lawrence Glen Carpenter 85, of Land OLakes, FL passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, December 20, 2017. He was born on December 27, 1931 in Cleveland, OH and retired to Land OLakes, FL in 1998. Lawrence (Larry) Carpenter was a US Army Veteran, serving in Korea from 1951 1953. He had a distinguished 45-year career as a master carpenter in the Cleveland, OH Metropolitan Area. He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Ella May Carpenter; 2 children: Cynthia Carpenter of Lutz, FL and Gregory Carpenter of Denver, CO and 1 grandchild: Nicole Harder. He was preceded in death by a brother: Ronald Carpenter. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30am, Friday, January 12, 2018 at Tims Memorial Presbyterian Church, 601 Sunset Lane, Lutz, FL 33549. Military honors will take place at Florida National Cemetery at 2:00pm on Friday, January 12, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America or Gulfside Hospice.
