Laura Sonmez was 73 years old when she passed into heaven the morning of October 21 at her home in Wesley Chapel, FL surrounded by her devoted family and loved ones. She was always passionate about her love of the Lord and sharing Jesus with everyone. We are confident she is being welcomed into heaven by not only her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ but all her loved ones who went before her and the many people she shared Jesus with along her path. She endured and fought a long battle with Parkinson's disease and ultimately God used that battle to call her home to heaven.

Laura was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 28th 1948. She served in the United States Air Force and Navy. She met her devoted husband Sahin Sonmez while serving at Pease Air Force Base and they went on to raise three children together. Laura was an amazing loving wife, devoted mother and compassionate friend. Her love for Jesus was evident in everything she did and said. Her legacy of love will live on through her devoted husband and love Sahin Sonmez, her children, John Zeynal Sonmez, Michelle Renee Sonmez, Tamara Leyla Sonmez and her grandchild Sophia Grace Sonmez. Laura was preceded in death by her mother Laura Rose Carrita and father Vincent Carrita. Laura is survived by her sisters Johanna Carrita, Irene Musgrave and Barbara Carrol.

Laura will be greatly missed but we find peace and joy knowing she is free from brokeness and we shall reunite again one day in Heaven and on the new earth.
