Obituary

Lance Wallace, age 58, of Dade City, Florida, passed away in Dade City on December 15, 2025. He was born on February 10, 1967, in Clermont, Florida, to the late Billy (Bill) Royce Wallace and Anna Holmes Wallace.

Lance was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, David Wallace, James "Jimmy" Wallace, and Tony Bogart. He is survived by his oldest brother, Billy "Buzzy" Wallace of Bushnell, Florida.

On August 29, 1986, Lance married the love of his life, Tabatha Evans Wallace, in Center Hill, Florida. Together they shared 39 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family. Lance considered his greatest achievements to be the life he built with Tabatha and the joy of becoming a father and grandfather.

Lance worked for many years as a mechanic and welder, specializing in heavy equipment. He was known for his skill, work ethic, and his ability to fix just about anything. When he wasn't working, Lance loved spending time with his family, his hound dogs, and tinkering with small equipment, woodworking projects, and his garden. His favorite place to be was in the woods, listening to his hounds trail deer and coons. He also enjoyed hitting the road with his loving wife in search of a good yard sale or rummage sale.

Lance is survived by his beloved wife, Tabatha Wallace of Dade City; his daughters, Joni (Jonathon) Chancey of Webster and Kala (Scott) Gedeist of Webster; and his cherished grandchildren, Lane, Demi, Corbin, and Brock. He is also survived by his godsons, Justin Beesley of Bushnell and Kody Beesley of Lake Panasoffkee; many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly; and his faithful dogs, Roy and Harley, along with his black and tan Walker deer dogs.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Chancey residence. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Lance's life with food and laughter.
