SWIFT, Kenneth O. 87 of Wesley Chapel, FL died on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2017 at Gulfside Hospice in Zephyrhills. Mr. Swift was born in Belize City, Belize, Central America to Hugh & Susan (Davis) Swift. Kenneth's love of mechanics and the sea correlated with his career as an accomplished and well respected Chief Engineer. He was a merchant mariner traveling the world over the span of 50 years with ships of West India Line. He retired in Belize and opened his business as an auto mechanic before he immigrated with his wife to West Palm Beach. While living in West Palm Beach he enjoyed attending Connect Church with his family. He moved to the Wesley Chapel area in 2008. Kenneth is survived by his wife, Joan of Wesley Chapel, daughters Glennis Swift of California, Jennifer (Leslie) Dakers of West Palm Beach, FL, Phyllis (George) Gadson of Tamarac, FL, Geraldine (Gilroy) Graham, of Jamaica, Michelle (Jeff) Van Gorder of Wesley Chapel, FL.; two Sisters, Dotsie Swift and Joyce Swift-Cook; 11 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grand. A Celebration of Kenneths life will take place at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 at Trinity Church of Wesley Chapel, 33425 FL 54, Wesley Chapel, Florida 33545.
