JEFFERSON, Kenneth Leslie, 77, passed away at his Dade City home on July 19, 2018. He was born on August 30, 1940, in Roanoke Va., to Gladys Sims Jefferson and the late Leslie Tazewell Jefferson. The family moved to Tampa and he graduated from Plant H.S. Following graduation, he began working at Tampa Intl. Airport for A.S.I. Services. Subsequently hired by Air Canada Airlines, he retired in 2001 after 36 years of service. Always an avid outdoorsman, in later years he gave up hunting and fishing for hiking, camping, and wildlife viewing, especially at his 63 acre ranch in Sumter County. Preceded in death by his father, Kenneth is survived by his mother; sister, Linda Gail; wife, Pennie Wagner Jefferson; sons, Daniel, Wayne and Eric; as well as four grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Hernando-Pasco Hospice for their compassionate care and assistance. Kenneth will be greatly missed by both his family and many friends. No formal sevices are planned.
