Keith Ryan Ellis was born on November 16th, 1992, and taken in by his new family (the Ellises) when he was just two years old; and later joined by his biological brothers in 2000.
Keith played baseball in San Antonio, as a part of The Dixie Youth League from 1998-2006, competing in the All-Stars in 2005.
He graduated from Moore Mickens Education Center's GED program and began his college experience at PHCC.
When he started dating Ashley Conley in June of 2020, she inspired him to continue his education by taking online college courses.
Keith proposed to Ashley on December 19th, 2020, and was completely devastated when his fiance passed away almost a year later.
Keith's contagious smile and his love for people made it easy for him to get a variety of jobs, but with the brain disease he struggled with, focusing was nearly impossible. His most recent job at Denny's was his favorite, and he only quit in preparation to go into a rehab facility for addiction.
The staff at Denny's had become his second family, adding joy back into his life and making him genuinely excited to go to work. Ms. Lois and the others provided a nurturing environment for him where he felt loved and appreciated.
When Keith was happy, he encouraged happiness in those around him with his silly voices and huge expressions; always wanting to be uplifting to his loved ones and even strangers.
Keith passed on May 29th, 2024, and is survived by his parents, both Ron Ellis and Cindy Barthle; his siblings, Rachel Pettengill, Matt, Brad, Josh, and Chris Ellis; and his best friends, Ruby Hicks and Justin Snyder, who stuck with him through thick and thin.
A church service will be held on June 22nd at 2pm, at the Lifestyle Church of God in Dade City FL, followed by a celebration of life at the Withlacoochee River Park (pavilion #4) with food and friends, with a soft start at 3:30pm.
