In Loving Memory Kay Francis Peterman 2/26/1942 2/19/2021

Kay Francis Peterman, 78, of Zephyrhills, Florida, went to be with her Savior on Friday, February 19, 2021, after her long battle with Alzheimers and dementia.

Born February 26, 1942, in Goshen, Indiana, she was the daughter of Weldon and Kathleen Alleshouse.

Kay always wanted to stay busy helping out in any way possible. When her daughter was in high school, Kay would always be heard cheering loudly for her favorite volleyball player. She loved to be in church, and she loved Gospel music. She was giving and selfless. She wanted to serve others and be sure others were happy. As long as her family was happy, she was happy. She was simple and never needed anything materialistic to feel special.

Kay loved to watch a good mystery show. She also loved to sing the song "A Bushel and a Peck" when she was feeling silly. Kay was always happy and content with her life, regardless of her circumstances. Even as she lost her memory, she was still thoughtful and wanting to help others as she could. A story her daughter shared was this: One day, Ken had asked Lisa to sew a button back on his shirt. As she was about finished, Kay came up to ask if she could help since it was for her husband. Lisa let her know she was almost finished and thanked her for the offer.

Kay is survived by her husband of 55 years, Kenneth Wade Peterman; one daughter, Lisa Mishler; three grandchildren: Megan Wheeler, Jeremy Mishler, and Michael Mishler; and two great-grandchildren: Bryleigh Wheeler and Brielle Wheeler. Also surviving are her sisters: Sandra Schrock, Nancy Clemens, and Linda Breniser; and brother Dan Alleshouse.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, March 5 at 11:00 AM. Service will be held outside at Hodges Family Funeral Home located at 11441 Hwy. 301, Dade City, FL, 33525. The service will also be live-streamed via Facebook at Lighthouse Baptist Juneau. In lieu of flowers, Ken has requested that donations be made in Kays memory to Lighthouse Baptist Church, P.O. Box 33222, Juneau, AK, 99803.
