IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kathy Louise
Robinson
December 9, 1952 – February 5, 2026
Kathy Louise Robinson, 73, peacefully entered the arms of the Lord on February 5,
2026. A woman of profound faith, spirited loyalty, and boundless creativity, Kathy
spent her life sowing seeds of kindness and beauty in the hearts of everyone she met.
Kathy’s life was anchored by her deep love for the Lord Jesus. Her faith was lived out
through her passion for helping others, always offering a helping hand or a kind word
to those in need.
Those who knew Kathy will remember her hands were rarely still. She was a gifted
crafter who in the last few years found particular joy in painting rocks—turning
smooth stones into tiny works of art—and hiding them throughout her community
for neighbors and strangers to find. When she wasn't crafting or tending to her
beloved flowers, Kathy was a huge sports fan. Above all, she was a devoted supporter
of IU Hoosiers basketball, holding a special fondness for the Bobby Knight era.
Whether she was celebrating a win or throwing her foam brick at the TV, her
enthusiasm for the game was a hallmark of her spirited personality.
Kathy has 3 siblings, William (Bill) Hysong, Karen Bodkins, and Karla Souder.
Kathy was a mother to 4 children Tony Ashby, Kevin (Julie) Ashby, and twins Melissa
(Phil) Martin, and Melinda Fields (Jeremy Spivey). She was also a grandmother to 3
grandchildren Breanna Ashby, Tyler Fields, and Brelynn Martin. Kathy also leaves
behind her lifelong best friend, Jean Potts, with whom she shared years of laughter
and cherished memories.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, William and Beatrice Hysong.
There will be a Celebration of Life in Greenfield Indiana in late spring.
