Katherine Smith Matthews "Kathey" age 75, of San Antonio Florida, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Greenville, SC on January 25, 1949 to Ben and Josie Smith, Kathey was the youngest of 4 children. A loving and devoted wife, mother, Meme, sister and friend, touch more lives than we will ever know. We will always be thankful for the gift that was her life. She served as the treasure for American Legion Auxiliary Unit 15. Kathey will be forever loved and remembered by her husband Curtis Matthews of 36 years, three children Cameron Matthews, Tonya Elliott (Jeremy) and Steve Mabry Jr. (Shelly), four grandchildren Katey and Travis Godfrey, Sam and Ben Mabry and 3 great grandchildren Ella and Lily Godfrey and Rowan Roberts.
