Kate Elizabeth Benedini died at home in Zephyrhills at the age of 34 on August 23, 2020. Kate was born on August 7, 1986 in Tampa, FL and lived her entire life in the Dade City/Zephyrhills community. Kate was predeceased by her father, Robert Benedini. She is survived by her immediate family: daughter, Mariah Grace Robinson; mother, Anne Benedini; and sister, Kristen Benedini. Kate also leaves behind many special people in her life: Uncle Jim and Val, Sean, Mariah's father, Abel, and numerous relatives and friends of all ages. Kate graduated from Zephyrhills High School and the University of South Florida where she received her BS in Elementary Education in 2008 as a SCATT graduate. Kate spent her entire career as an educator with the Pasco County School System teaching elementary and exceptional education students (K-5) at Wesley Chapel Elementary, New River Elementary, and West Zephyrhills Elementary. Kate was a member of the Alpha Phi chapter of the Alpha Delta Kappa, an Education Honorary Society for women. Kate was a mother, daughter, sister, educator, and dog rescuer. Her laugh (snort) was infectious, and her smile would light up a room. She loved to go on road trips with the radio blaring, especially touring through her adopted state of Maine. Kate loved all four seasons of Maine but especially enjoyed teaching her daughter, Mariah, how to ski at various ski areas in the winter and exploring the wonders of the craggy Maine coastline in the summer. Kate brought a spark and spirit to all who knew her. There will be a private celebration of Kate's life for immediate family. The family requests that Kate's friends celebrate her memory in their own way and in their own time.
