Obituary

June was born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Jamaica, Long Island. She then moved to Port Jervis, New York. She has been a widow for the past twenty-four years. June's husband died of cancer. Together, they had three children. Her son is Harry, a daughter, Lisa, lives in Florida. Her oldest daughter died of cancer. After the death of her husband and daughter, June decided to relocate to this part of Florida, an area that she and her family loved and vacationed in for many years.June worked in human services for much of her career. She was Executive Director of Day Care and also worked in such areas as social services and family counseling. In Port Jervis, she was a Deacon in the First Presbyterian Church. She also performed in theatre productions to raise money for World Hunger.June's hobbies are travel and the arts. She is a past "Queen' Mother" of the Colony Hills Red Hats Association. She enjoys having fun with her neighbors and friends. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Wednesday September 26, 2018 from 11-12pm. The funeral service will start at 12:00 pm followed by a committal service at 2:30pm at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell FL. Arrangements by Hodges Family Funeral Home 54 Chapel Zephyrhills, FL.
