Judy Sylvia Young was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She left this world surrounded by dear family and friends on March 30, 2022. Judy was born on April 28, 1942, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Canada to Randall and Enid Shand. Judy graduated from Dartmouth High School in 1959. After graduating from high school, she worked for a television station in Halifax. In 1964, she emigrated to the United States and settled in Los Angeles, California where she worked for Union Oil and later met and married Eddie Young. They moved to Florida in 1969 and were married for almost 47 years until Eddies passing in 2015. Judy spent her married years, as a homemaker, volunteering at her childrens schools and with the Young American Bowling Alliance. Eddie and Judy traveled extensively, visiting every state in the union along with many countries around the world. Judy is survived by her daughter Karen and her husband Doug; her daughter Kimberly and her husband Sam; her daughter Kelly and her husband Daryn; six grandchildren Megan, Jordan, Alyson, Jacob, Rachael, and Emily, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Eddie, her brother Philip and her parents, Randall and Enid. A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 2, at 10:00 am at Hodges Family Funeral Home at 11441 U.S. Highway 301, Dade City, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am.
