Juanita H. Barbosa, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 5:05 p.m. in Plant City, Florida. Born on February 1, 1946, in Weslaco, Texas, Juanita was the beloved daughter of Manuel B. Hernandez and Petra Herrera. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and cherished great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. Her kindness, strength, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Juanita was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Enrique Barbosa 

She is survived by her three daughters, Carolyn Barbosa, Silvia Barbosa, and Aurora Barbosa. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Samantha Ramos, Teresa Zamora, Jorge Zamora, Matthew Barbosa, Ruben Perez, Martin Perez, Vincent Hernandez, Isabel Garcia, and Maribel Garcia. In addition, she is survived by seven great-grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy, along with numerous extended family members and dear friends.

Juanita’s legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to her family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Viewing will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home (Dade City) on Sunday, July 26th, from 12-2. Funeral service will take place Monday, July 27th from 12:30 - 1:30 at the Hodges Family Funeral Home (Dade City)
