Juan Francisco Salas, 82, known to most as Pancho, passed away peacefully on January 15th, 2018. He was born on August 21st, 1935 in Ixtlan Del Rio, Nayarit, Mexico to Quirino Salas and Calletana Aguilar. He is survived by his best friend and wife, Maria Salas, daughter Anabel Cardenas (Fidel Torres), preceded in death by son, Luis Salas (Diana Salas), son, Javier Salas (Maria Salas), daughter, Gloria Salas (Adan Macias), daughter, Teresa Raya (Ubaldo Raya), son, Oscar Salas, daughter, Yecenia Herrera (Jose Herrera), and only surviving sister, Maria Luisa Salas. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Juan Salas, grew up primarily in Dade City, Florida. As a young man, he worked in harvesting from 1977-2004 for John McCarthy and Sons Harvesting; where he later retired due to health issues. His family will forever remember him as the King of Jokes with an incredible sense of humor. A fighter to have been able to endure all the heart aches, health issues, and unfortunate life events. A giver who never hesitated to lend a hand. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, January 18th, 2018. The celebration will begin at St. Rita Catholic Church with a viewing from 10-11 AM and church service from 11-12 PM, followed by the burial service at Hodges Family Funeral Home (Floral Memory Gardens).
